Overview - This course provides an overview of Food Safety Management System lead auditor training. It is designed to meet the requirements of the CQI and IRCA Certified Lead Auditor Course (FSMS LA), with a focus on both local regulations and accepted industry standards. The topics covered include FSMS principles, system design, and implementation processes, continuous improvement mechanisms, audit theories/practices, preparing and performing audits as a third-party lead auditor according to international standard ISO 22000:2018, and other related certifications such as FSSC 22000. Instruction consists of lectures supplemented by applicable case studies, reading assignments covering pertinent literature in food safety management systems, group activities requiring the application of knowledge acquired during class sessions concerning specific business scenarios encountered in the professional industries, open discussion forums addressing real-world problems encountered in the marketplace today which can benefit from adoption or modification of available best practices learned throughout this course. Students who successfully complete this course will have attained understanding necessary to serve competently as global certified Lead Auditors within their respective professions.

Course Duration & Structure:

5 Days Course, typically starts at 9:30 A.M. and ends by 6:30 P.M (IST). Presentations, Examples, Exercises requiring group work, Brainstorming, Readings, and Sharing of Practical Experiences are all included in the course. A 45-minute lunch break each day.
