The revised standard provides a standalone framework for effective privacy management and protection of Personally Identifiable Information (PII).

This standard defines requirements for PII Controllers and PII Processors, supporting organizations in managing privacy risks, ensuring accountability, and meeting applicable legal and regulatory privacy obligations.

ISO/IEC 27701:2025 is applicable to organizations of all types and sizes, including public and private companies, government entities, and not-for-profit organizations involved in processing PII. It can be implemented independently or integrated with other management systems, such as ISO/IEC 27001

Objective-

Content of the ISO 27701 SECURITY TECHNIQUES-PRIVACY INFORMATION

MANAGEMENT SYSTEM training course 

• Understand the concepts, principles, approaches, and techniques for establishing, implementing, maintaining, and continually improving a PIMS in accordance with ISO/IEC 27701:2025.

• Learn about the relationship between ISO/IEC 27701:2025, ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 27002, and applicable privacy laws and regulatory frameworks, including the standalone implementation of PIMS.

• Develop knowledge of PIMS requirements, privacy risk management, PII Controller and Processor responsibilities, and the key processes for ensuring effective privacy information management.
